Captain
Keith
Captain Keith has been fishing in Florida for over 30 years, with the past 15 years concentrating on the Central Florida East Coast near Orlando. He has fishing experience around the world from Blue Marlin in deep water to Redfish on the flats. He captains The MTC ("The Empty Sea"), a top-quality Action Craft Flats skiff. Well-known in the area, he has won a number of awards and has been featured in fishing shows such as American Angler and Bass Pro Shops spots. He is also often featured on local Television Channel 6, as a contributor to the Wednesday fishing report. In addition, Captain Keith is often in articles, being featured in Florida Game and Fish Magazine, Florida Sportsman Magazine, and local publications. As a local expert, he is often asked to speak to fishing clubs and outdoor sporting goods events. Captain Keith is an expert at finding fish inshore on the flats and along the Atlantic shorelines, specializing in ultralight tackle experiences on spinning and fly tackle. Since this is such a challenging type of fishing, this allows him to know the local fish and give you your best chance of hooking that monster! Captain Keith is an IGFA Certified Captain, he is the National Saltwater Pro Staff Captain for Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Daiichi Hooks, and X-Point Hooks. Captain Keith is very conservation-minded, and supports catch-and-release fishing whenever it is possible, understanding that we want these fabulous game fish for long into the future. You will find Captain Keith fun, informative, and totally competent.
Captain Keith's Boat
The MTC (pronounced "Empty Sea"), is a 1622 Flyfisher by Action Craft--the Top-of-the-Line in flats skiffs. It is specially designed to sneak along shallow shorelines hunting fish, while being able to handle the nearshore waters near Orlando chasing beach-bound gamesters. Its "Qui-Dri" hull is stable, quiet, and dry. As his pride-and-joy, Capt. Keith keeps The MTC spotlessly clean, and in perfect working order. The MTC is fully outfitted with all Coast Guard safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and life jackets, and has a foam-filled hull that is unsinkable. It is extremely stable--you can walk around the edge (gunnels) of the boat and it won't tip! This makes it the ideal fishing craft for people who have any problems with seasickness. The MTC can fish up to two people, allowing room to cast and fight fish. Mercury 90hp primary motor, Minn-Kota Riptide electric motor, GPS, Fishfinder, VHF radio, Cell phone, and dry storage for your belongings.
